Even though I was born in northern Virginia, at age 5 my family moved to the suburbs of Baltimore Maryland. My Mom and Dad decided that they wanted more property to house horses and other farm animals. We moved to Carroll County in 1986 and I've resided here ever since. My mother loved gardening and I would help her with flower beds. I loved planning colors and styles with her. I would help her pick flowers and watch her place them in vases on the dining room table for us to enjoy! She would later join me at the flower shop as a designer during holidays, when we would get extremely busy. My love for floral design started in high school when my first job was at a garden center that also specialized in weddings. After gaining several years of experience, I moved onto a local florist. Growing with experience and passion, I then went on to fully manage two other full-service florists. While managing the retail side, I also personally handled weddings from meeting with the brides, designing the wedding flowers, to delivery and set up of ceremonies & receptions. I also worked with local companies, colleges, & hospitals for all their yearly events. Twenty-five years later, I found myself longing for just the “one on one” relationship with specialty event planning. Today, I am owner/operator of Flowers By Wendy Carol, offering my personal service and expertise from your initial consultation to the moment of your occasion. My true passion still drives me to bring that personal touch of elegance and beauty to your special day. My love for flowers has been with me ever since I was a little girl. I'm a mother of two amazing children and a stepmother of two other children, equally amazing. Just recently, I have become a grandparent, known as "Nana." Next to flowers, He has to be my greatest LOVE. Family is so important to me!

I began my business in November of 2015.That decision came after I decide not to purchase the flower shop I currently was managing. I worked there for over 14 years and worked with all the wedding couples there as well. Planning there florals was the best art of my job!
When I first started my business, I wanted to focus on special events so I could work with clients on a more personal one to one basis. I started out with one wedding in 2015 and by mid 2016, I was already working with over 25 couples and their weddings. By 2017, I had more than 75 weddings scheduled for the following year. I was able to bring on several part time assistants
. My family has played a huge part in our success. My husband, father-in-law, and daughter have helped with many weddings and events over the last few years. Recently, we decided to expand into more full service work, after clients have reached out with special request. I want to provide the best possible service to each and everyone of my customers. We hope to build a florist that would leave a legacy.
